TLDR: According to a survey conducted by Ivalua, a procurement and supplier management specialist, less than half of financial services organizations feel confident in accurately reporting on Scope 3 emissions. Scope 3 emissions are considered a “best-guess” measurement by 69% of respondents, showcasing the struggle in reporting and the risk of unintentional greenwashing. Financial service providers are increasingly being required to disclose Scope 3 emissions, however, the survey suggests they lack confidence in reporting on this aspect of emissions and may be unsure of what is required of them.
