Waldo’s Dollar Mart, a Mexican discount retailer with over 800 grocery and clothing stores, is expanding its implementation of Oracle Cloud enterprise technology to streamline its finance and merchandising operations. By leveraging Oracle Cloud finance and merchandising applications, the retailer aims to manage its multi-format business model while scaling to offer customers more products and buying channels and open approximately 70 new stores a year. The implementation of Oracle Cloud solutions is expected to improve financial forecasting, help make more informed inventory decisions, and support efforts to offer a fresh assortment at value prices.

Waldo’s Dollar Mart is also implementing Oracle Transportation Management in the Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management platform to further enhance its operations. By consolidating and rationalizing more than 62 legacy applications and streamlining business processes across its grocery and clothing operations, the retailer seeks to improve inventory management, planning, and budgeting processes. This will enable its merchandisers to make better purchasing decisions and enhance the overall customer experience.

In addition to Oracle Transportation Management, Waldo’s has rolled out several other Oracle cloud solutions in recent years, including Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Service, Oracle Retail Allocation Cloud Service, Oracle Retail Invoice Matching Cloud Service, Oracle Retail Pricing Service, and Oracle Warehouse Management. By leveraging these tools, Waldo’s aims to align data and business processes, focus on impactful needs, increase its bottom line, and meet customer expectations.

Founded in 1999 in Tijuana, Mexico, Waldo’s Dollar Mart de México operates over 800 stores through its Waldo’s and Waldo’s Moda store formats, along with an e-commerce site and app. The retailer’s partnership with Oracle aims to provide a seamless shopping experience for consumers while meeting its aggressive growth strategy and expansion plans.
