NJCPA taps Tondi to lead Finance & Administration.

The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) has appointed Greg Tondi as director of finance & administration. In his new role, Tondi will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department and handling the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the NJCPA and its affiliates. This includes tasks such as budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, investments, tax compliance, payroll, internal control systems, and purchasing. Tondi, a certified public accountant, was previously the controller at the United States Council for International Business in New York.

Tondi brings a wealth of nonprofit, industry, and academic experience to his new position. He has previously served as a controller at the College of St. Elizabeth and held various positions at Prudential Insurance Company. In addition, Tondi has worked as an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University, where he taught business and accounting courses and organized networking and mentoring programs for students. He holds a B.S. in finance from Rutgers University School of Business and an M.S. in accounting from New Jersey City University.

Theresa Hinton, chief operating officer of the NJCPA, expressed confidence in Tondi’s ability to contribute to the society’s strategic planning. She highlighted Tondi’s membership since 2006 and his experience in nonprofit, industry, and academic sectors. Hinton believes that Tondi’s expertise will be valuable in planning membership programs, advocacy work, and increasing the pipeline of CPA candidates for the NJCPA.
