French fintech start-up Request Finance has acquired Consola Finance, a Vienna-based cryptocurrency accounting platform, for an undisclosed sum. Request Finance operates a platform for Web3 companies and freelancers to receive, send, and convert cryptocurrency payments for a variety of purposes, including payroll and expenses.
Since its founding in 2020, Request Finance has processed over $669 million in cryptocurrency payments and has over 2,000 active users. The acquisition of Consola Finance will add advanced cryptocurrency accounting features to their platform, allowing users to import and categorize transactions for easy integration with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like QuickBooks.
According to Christophe Lassuyt, CEO of Request Finance, the platform combines the functionalities of Bill.com, Netsuite, and Expensify into a single solution. The acquisition of Consola Finance is expected to boost confidence in using cryptocurrency for business transactions.
